Parking for Walton Arts Center events
EVENT PARKING
In an effort to make parking easier during our busiest times, Event Parking will occur in the main parking lot across the street from Walton Arts Center. Patrons will be notified by email & on the Walton Arts Center website when Event Parking is in place.When Event Parking is in place, the fee to enter the lot will be $5 per car, CASH ONLY. Guests will receive an entry ticket upon payment which is good for the entire night. Upon exit from the lot immediately following the event, guests will hand their ticket to an attendant and exit. Attendants will be on hand to help guests find available parking spaces and to exit the lot quickly. If guests choose to stay on Dickson Street and enjoy the restaurants and bars, and exit when an attendant is not present, guests may simply insert their ticket into the exit gate machine.
Please note - Event Parking will take place ONLY in the large lot directly across from Walton Arts Center. All other nearby lots will operate as follows:
With the exception of small private lots, all lots within a one-two block radius of Walton Arts Center's Fayetteville campus charge for parking AFTER 2PM each day. Also, all street parking is either paid or residential. Free parking may be available in private lots within a 3-7 block radius; please obey the signs posted in these lots.
Lot Parking
There are 3 lots around the Arts Center that are managed by the City of Fayetteville. On show days, Walton Arts Center staff will also be on hand to help you with your parking needs in these lots:
1. Directly across from the Arts Center, on West Avenue
2. At the corner of West Avenue & Spring Street
3. Just behind the Arts Center, on School Avenue
These lots will charge the following rates:
.50 per hour from 2pm to 5pm (maximum of $3)
1 per hour from 5pm to 2am (maximum of $5)
These lots operate on a "Pay On Exit" system. All lots will be gated.
Upon entrance, you will receive a ticket that is automatically recorded with your entry date and time. You can pre-pay by stopping at a pay station within the lot or within Walton Arts Center's West Avenue entrance, you can visit the pay station(s) on the way back to your car, or you can pay at the exit gate.
Note: There are other paid lots within a one-two block radius of Walton Arts Center, including the Underwood lot (4), and the lot in the parking depot directly across from the Arts Center (5). These rates are set by the lot owners.
City Metered Parking
City metered parking will operate on a "Pay as you Stay" system. You must prepay for your parking space. If at any time you want to add more time to your space, you can visit any of the metered parking pay stations (indicated on the map below as a black dot). You can also use the new "Pay by Phone" system.
