Artosphere / Artosphere Request for Proposals
Walton Arts Center is offering support of up to $4,000 to artists and organizations interested in creating visual and performing arts projects that support and complement Artosphere: Arkansas’ Arts and Nature Festival.
Artosphere is a major regional arts initiative conceived to celebrate artists who are influenced by nature and help inspire us to live more sustainable lives. Festival activities include dance performances, music concerts, theater for youth, a visual arts gallery exhibition and site-specific installation, outdoor concerts and arts-enriched trail hikes. Events support the concepts of nature, sustainability and the celebration of our natural environment.
The 2012 Artosphere Festival theme is Sticks and Stones - Exploring the intersection of nature, dwelling and our sense of place in a rapidly changing landscape. Programming during Artosphere will focus on the impact and influence of the natural world on people and the structures they build. For festival description and history, see http://www.waltonartscenter.org/artosphere.aspx.
In keeping with the nature of Artosphere as a sustainable festival, all submissions should be completed via email.
