Artosphere / About the Festival
Artosphere: a Festival of Art and Nature
Artosphere is nearly six weeks of visual and performing
arts events at Walton Arts Center and other locations throughout
Northwest Arkansas. Art and nature were traditionally seen as opposites, but Artosphere brings them together.
The festival is designed to celebrate the unique way that
the arts can help us understand and celebrate nature. Beyond mere appreciation, Artosphere helps us learn to live more
sustainably. Featuring music, theater, dance, visual arts, lectures and
more, Artosphere features dozens of free and low cost arts events in
both traditional and unusual
locations. Locations include the stages of Walton Arts Center, area bike trails, churches, gardens, and many more of the most beautiful places in Northwest Arkansas.
Artosphere's first season kicked off in April 2010, and served more than 20,000 people.
