Walton Arts Center is a presenting facility located in the heart of Northwest Arkansas with venues that include a 1201-seat auditorium with proscenium stage, a 200-seat variable stage black box theater, a small amphitheater/rose garden, as well as other spaces available for rent. In its 22nd year of operation, Walton Arts Center employs 81 full time and permanent part time staff members, enlists a volunteer force of 310, maintains a six-building campus and operates on an $11+million annual budget.
INTERNSHIPS AT WALTON ARTS CENTER
The internship program currently requires that the internship be a prearranged and structured learning experience scheduled within a specific time-frame and pre-approved. The experience must be relevant to the intern’s academic and/or professional goals and involve work, research, or other activities which are of value and beneficial to the mission of the Museum. An internship is performed under the direct supervision of Walton Arts Center’s staff.

Learning & Engagement Manager
WALTON ARTS CENTER seeks an experienced Learning & Engagement Manager who is responsible to build and maintain relationships with community and education partners. In addition the L&E Manager works within the L&E team to plan, coordinate and deliver learning programs, artist residencies and establish policies and procedures serving schools, teachers and individuals. The L&E Manager plans and organizes complex activities and events that involve many people.
WALTON ARTS CENTER seeks an experienced Events Coordinator who will be the lead in the scheduling, contracting and planning of client events and services. The Event Coordinator will also assist in the planning for Walton Arts Center special events.
WALTON ARTS CENTER seeks a Production Assistant to join the Production Team. The Production Assistant under the direction of the Production Services Manager (PSM) supports the Production Department by managing the work schedules of local stage crew: maintaining their time, attendance records and assisting in their supervision in regard to safety, policy compliance and attendance. As an employee of the Production Department, the PA is responsible for maintaining operational details in the departmental calendar, disseminating necessary information interdepartmentally and additional administrative duties as directed by the PSM or the Director of Production.
WALTON ARTS CENTER seeks an experienced Stage Technician with a background in Carpentry, Fly Rail Operation and Theater/Arena Rigging. Ideally, qualified candidates would have a BA/BS in Theater Arts with specific emphasis on carpentry and/or a minimum of three years’ professional experience presenting live theatrical performances and concerts.
